MetaLex version 1.3 released

June 1st, 2006

Version 1.3 of the MetaLex distribution contains a number of important updates and bugfixes. See the download section of this website. Some of the new features in release 1.3 are:

• Support for administrative and judicial decisions;
• Metadata and third-party annotations are now distinguished;
• Additional requirements for establishing the identity of legal sources;
• Expanded support for retroactive and delayed applicability;
• Support for geospatial references to the area of applicability of a legal source, and for references to legislators, legislative powers, and legislative procedures;
• Increased integration with RDF and the Web Ontology Language (OWL);
• Improved translation of Dutch BasisWettenBestand XML to MetaLex.
• Support for Hungarian vocabulary.

There are some small changes that may result in existing MetaLex documents being no longer compliant with the MetaLex schema. These changes are easy to make with search and replace operations. Read more here.
