The Legal Knowledge Interchange Format
February 15th, 2007
The Estrella project delivered the first specification of the Legal Knowledge Interchange Format (LKIF). LKIF uses MetaLex as a standard for sources of law, and participates in the MetaLex CEN workshop to align MetaLex and LKIF. LKIF is used to represent the meaning of sources of law, for the purpose of building knowledge based systems. In MetaLex terms, it is a schema for MetaLex metadata. See the LKIF ontology here.
